These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Clxrity, including its website, platform, features, resources, schedules, academic utilities, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By creating an account, accessing, or using Clxrity, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
1. About Clxrity
Clxrity is an access-controlled student platform operated by Abhisht Shrivastava (“Clxrity,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
At present, Clxrity is intended for students of the institutes where the Platform is actively operated, which currently include:
- IIM Sambalpur
- IIM Sirmaur
Clxrity is currently provided free of charge.
2. Eligibility
You may use Clxrity only if:
- you are a genuine student of an institute for which Clxrity is currently active;
- you are entitled to use the Platform based on your institute, campus, batch, program, course, or other applicable academic scope;
- you register using a valid institute email address accepted by the Platform; and
- you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
If you are not legally permitted to provide valid consent on your own under applicable law, you may use the Platform only with the involvement, authorization, or consent of your parent or lawful guardian where required.
Clxrity may refuse access, suspend eligibility, or disable accounts where it reasonably believes that a user is not genuinely entitled to use the Platform.
3. Acceptance of These Terms and Related Policies
By using Clxrity, you also acknowledge and agree to our Privacy Policy and any other rules, notices, or policies that we may publish on the Platform from time to time.
If there is any conflict between these Terms and any feature-specific rule or notice published by Clxrity, Clxrity may determine which provision applies based on the nature of the issue.
4. Nature of the Platform
Clxrity is designed to provide an organized, access-controlled layer for student-facing academic and institutional utility. Depending on the institute and feature, this may include schedules, resources, announcements, academic utilities, and other relevant materials.
Clxrity is not a public repository. Access to content is intended to be restricted based on institute, campus, batch, course, role, and other entitlement logic implemented by the Platform.
Clxrity aims to maintain high standards of reliability, access control, and usefulness. However, because institutional data, schedules, resources, and academic information may change, be updated, or contain upstream inaccuracies, users should exercise reasonable judgment and verify critical matters independently when appropriate.
5. Account Registration and Security
To use Clxrity, you may be required to create an account.
You agree to:
- provide accurate and complete information when registering;
- maintain the accuracy of your account information;
- keep your login credentials confidential;
- use only your own account;
- promptly notify Clxrity if you suspect unauthorized use of your account or any security issue.
You must not:
- impersonate another person;
- register using an email address that does not legitimately belong to you;
- share your credentials with another person;
- allow another person to use your account to access batch-, course-, or institute-scoped material.
You are responsible for activity occurring through your account unless and to the extent caused by Clxrity’s own technical fault or security failure.
6. Access Scope and Entitlement Rules
Your access to content, schedules, resources, and features on Clxrity may be restricted based on factors such as:
- institute;
- campus;
- batch;
- program;
- course;
- role;
- coordinator or operational permissions; and
- any other entitlement logic implemented by Clxrity.
You must not attempt to access content, files, tools, or academic materials outside your authorized scope.
You must not attempt to:
- bypass access controls;
- manipulate your role, batch, campus, or course mapping;
- exploit technical gaps to access unauthorized materials;
- use another user’s account or session to obtain access;
- distribute or expose protected content to persons who are not entitled to receive it.
7. Operations Heads and Content Submission
Clxrity may designate certain verified users as Operations Heads for limited operational purposes.
Only verified Operations Heads may submit or upload batch-related content through the upload or operational workflows made available by the Platform. Such permissions are limited in scope and do not create ownership or unrestricted administrative authority.
Operations Heads may act only within the scope of their assigned permissions. They must not:
- upload content outside the batch or scope assigned to them;
- upload content they are not reasonably authorized to circulate to the entitled audience;
- falsely claim institute-wide or official authority beyond their actual role;
- use the Platform to distribute confidential, unrelated, or unauthorized materials.
Clxrity retains the right to review, restrict, suspend, or remove any submission, permission, or operational access at any time.
8. Institute Materials, Resources, and Objections
Clxrity respects the rights, interests, and internal boundaries of institutes, faculty members, departments, and academic stakeholders.
Where institute-related materials, resources, schedules, or announcements are made available on Clxrity, the Platform aims to make them accessible only to the relevant entitled audience.
Clxrity does not claim ownership over institute-originated or academic materials made available through the Platform. Such materials remain subject to the rights and interests of their respective owners, authors, faculty members, departments, or institutions.
If any institute, faculty member, department, or authorized stakeholder raises an objection regarding the presence, circulation, display, privacy, confidentiality, or hosting of any material on Clxrity, Clxrity may immediately restrict, suspend, disable, review, or remove access to such material.
Clxrity is willing to engage in good-faith communication with institutes or authorized stakeholders regarding concerns of safety, privacy, access control, confidentiality, and content handling. However, Clxrity may, at its sole discretion, take down disputed material even while such communication is ongoing, and will comply with institute objections where it determines that removal, restriction, or continued takedown is appropriate.
9. User Conduct Rules
You agree to use Clxrity lawfully, responsibly, and only for legitimate academic and student-related purposes within your authorized scope.
You must not:
- violate any applicable law;
- use Clxrity in a way that harms, disrupts, burdens, or interferes with the Platform or other users;
- upload, post, distribute, or circulate material you are not authorized to share;
- upload false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, unlawful, obscene, or harmful content;
- use the Platform to harass, intimidate, abuse, or threaten others;
- scrape, crawl, copy in bulk, data-mine, or systematically extract content or metadata from the Platform;
- use bots, scripts, automation, or unauthorized technical tools to interact with the Platform;
- reverse engineer, decompile, probe, or attempt to discover underlying systems, logic, or vulnerabilities, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law;
- bypass or attempt to bypass security measures, entitlement checks, or access controls;
- share screenshots, downloads, links, files, or extracted material outside the user group, batch, course, campus, or institute scope to which the content is restricted;
- use Clxrity as a public redistribution channel for protected or scoped material.
10. Academic Accuracy and User Responsibility
Clxrity takes reasonable care to structure, organize, and present academic and institutional information responsibly. However, schedules, attendance-related information, resources, deadlines, rooms, notices, and other academic data may change, be corrected, or contain upstream inaccuracies.
For important or time-sensitive matters, users should act responsibly and, where appropriate, cross-check critical information with the relevant faculty member, subject representative, class representative, official notice, institute office, or other authoritative source.
This clause is intended to encourage responsible use, not to suggest that Clxrity does not aim for accuracy. Clxrity strives to provide a high-quality and dependable service, but users should recognize that academic information ecosystems can change dynamically.
11. Suspension, Restriction, and Removal
Clxrity may, without prior notice where it considers it appropriate, suspend, restrict, disable, or terminate any account, content, feature access, or operational permission if it reasonably believes that:
- a user is not eligible to use the Platform;
- a user has violated these Terms;
- unauthorized sharing, impersonation, misuse, or access-boundary violation has occurred;
- content should be removed due to legal, privacy, confidentiality, institutional, security, or operational concerns;
- an institute or authorized stakeholder has objected to specific material or access;
- continued access may create risk to users, institutes, the Platform, or third parties.
Clxrity may also investigate suspected misuse and take corresponding action, including preserving logs, restricting access, or cooperating with lawful requests where required.
12. Platform Availability and Changes
Clxrity may improve, modify, suspend, discontinue, or remove any feature, content category, workflow, institute scope, or part of the Platform at any time.
While Clxrity aims to provide a smooth and reliable experience, the Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be uninterrupted, error-free, continuously available, fully accurate at all times, or free from delays, omissions, or technical issues.
This does not mean Clxrity disclaims responsibility for good-faith operation. It means that the nature of software systems, upstream academic information, infrastructure dependencies, and institutional change can affect availability and accuracy despite reasonable care.
13. Intellectual Property and Platform Rights
The Clxrity Platform, including its layout, branding, design, interface elements, workflows, compilations, original text, original graphics, and original software-related components, is owned by or licensed to Clxrity and is protected by applicable intellectual property and related laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Platform or any of its original elements to you.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Platform except as expressly permitted by Clxrity or by applicable law.
This section does not mean Clxrity claims ownership over institute-originated academic materials made available through entitled access scopes. Those remain subject to the rights and interests of their respective owners.
14. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is subject to the Clxrity Privacy Policy. By using Clxrity, you acknowledge that personal data may be collected and processed as described in that policy.
15. Third-Party Services and Links
Clxrity may rely on third-party infrastructure, services, integrations, or links, including hosting, authentication, analytics, storage, or related technical systems.
Clxrity is not responsible for third-party services, websites, or platforms that it does not control, and your interactions with such third parties may be governed by their own terms and policies.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clxrity provides the Platform without warranties of any kind except those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Clxrity does not warrant that:
- the Platform will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
- all data, schedules, or resources will always be complete, current, or free from upstream inaccuracies;
- the Platform will always meet every user expectation or institutional requirement;
- the Platform will always be free from technical defects, delays, or vulnerabilities.
That said, Clxrity intends to act responsibly, apply reasonable safeguards, and continuously improve the Platform.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clxrity, its operator, and persons acting on its behalf shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, goodwill, opportunity, academic expectation, data, or business interruption arising out of or relating to the use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clxrity’s aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Platform shall be limited to the amount paid by you to Clxrity for use of the Platform in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Since Clxrity is currently free to use, this amount may be zero.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clxrity, its operator, and persons acting on its behalf from and against claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal expenses, arising out of or related to:
- your misuse of the Platform;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your unauthorized sharing or submission of content;
- your violation of access boundaries, intellectual property rights, confidentiality expectations, or applicable law;
- your impersonation, credential sharing, scraping, or attempts to bypass platform controls.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law, the courts at Sambalpur, Odisha shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
20. Changes to These Terms
Clxrity may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, platform functionality, infrastructure, institutional scope, operational requirements, or security practices.
When material changes are made, Clxrity may update the “Last Updated” date above and take reasonable steps to notify users where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different form of notice or acceptance.
